Legal Support
MPWDA’s legal support programs help women and girls with disabilities access justice and claim their rights. This includes providing legal advice, paralegal support, and advocacy for safe communities.
We have supported 32 women and girls with disabilities to access justice successfully. Paralegals and advocates assist beneficiaries in resolving cases related to rights violations, inheritance, and protection from early marriage.
Programs also raise awareness about laws protecting women and girls with disabilities. Community sensitization ensures that duty bearers and families understand and respect these rights.
Major Activities:
Women and girls with disabilities are more aware of their rights and can access justice independently. The program strengthens community accountability and ensures legal systems are responsive to the needs of vulnerable groups.
